My Artist Statment
Hey, my name is Simi! Art has always been something I have been interested in, but I have never tried art through photography up until now. It was very interesting to try this form of art. I originally decided to take this class because I thought it would be easy, but to my surprise, it was a little bit more different than what I expected. In the beginning, I wasn't that great at taking pictures but over the semester I gradually got better at certain aspects.
Throughout this semester I figured out that I liked certain styles and subjects. For instance, I figured out that I really like close-ups and photos that involve interesting scenes. I realized that I really liked taking pictures of things that I see every day like stuffed animals in my room. At the end of this semester, I realized photography is way more interesting than I originally thought and now wherever I go I always look out for interesting scenes.
